Operations Team

Responsible for day to day facility operations to ensure safe and reliable production. The operations team is accountable for safety and well being of all parties conducting business at the facility: contractors, projects, maintenance, engineering in addition to management of abnormal operational events.

The key operational tasks which are focused on management of active operational risks and requirements include:

• equipment start up or shutdown
• operational risk management
• system prestart checks
• function test of critical equipment
• unit performance checks
• hazard awareness and reporting
• operations event and incident investigations
• management of operational vulnerabilities

In general operations should complete facility operations tasks to ensure safety, reliability and reputation. In general, only minor maintenance should be completed by operations team, and the maintenance activity which requires a licence like gas or electrical works should be completed by authorised trades person.
